I also think that by this point in time, my dragon OC, Renae, would be the height of younger Smolder.

I expected her to have larger wings, buffer, a longer tail and neck. She just looks taller.

She looks thicker in the limbs to me (especially her thighs, which used to taper towards the top) and subtly 'bulkier' overall - compare her to the extremely-lean Ember and you can see that Smoulder's a more muscular female, but still in a very compact kind of way.
She also looks more rounded in the elbows and knees, and has lost the knee-detailing.

I don't think female dragons get as buff as males do. I'm only comparing Smolder with her older brother Garble.
