What is the seal made of and is the sand made out of brown suger?

The seal is made out of fondant and the sand is just white sugar mixed with food coloring :3

How'd you make this O_O? I wanna make this for my sister! She looooves mamegoma and so do I. It's soooooo cute!

The mamegoma i made from fondant, just molded it by hand, and used fondant also for the eyes and mouth, i think it's still in my sisters freezer 
as for the rest, i just used sea shell candy molds for the sea shells(also from fondant), and colored them with shimmer dust, and then the little island i carved out of the cake and iced it and then put sugar all over it that was colored to look like sand, and the rest is rather self explanatory i think.
