Description

It didn't take long for Hansober to realize he was different. Wherever he went it was like he was merely a spirit floating around observing the world around him. When someone did notice him, it wasn't long before they crawled away, confused and afraid.
It was his thoughts. They weren't normal.
When a Meep pointed to the sky, he would remark how the vast blue suppressed their mortal kind to the ground, barring them from touching the stars. When a Meep pointed to a blue block, he would tell of the harsh societal expectations building depression in the repressed hearts of differently shaped Kitters. When a Meep pointed to a bug, he would contemplate the difference between a sentient Kitter and a thing that only exists as a life force without soul or true individual purpose.
It was a never-ending cycle. He spoke. They disappeared.
He didn't feel rejected or lonely. He didn't feel much at all. He wasn't sure why.
Hansober realized the more he talked the more he distanced himself from the others. Even if he never felt lonely, he wanted to observe them more closely. He wanted to be among them in harmony. To do that he must not scare them. He must not speak.
So as time went on, Hansober spoke less and less. Instead, he listened.
Sometimes he felt like he was supposed to do something or be something else. Sometimes he didn't feel real. Slowly his observations became distorted. A thing would resemble something else for a brief second - as if from a nightmare. Terrible scents would waft from dark places but disappear as he neared them. Sentences would be fractured with some being loud and clear but others fading into the silence of his mind. It almost was as if they were trying to tell him something, but he could never grasp their true meaning.
As he wandered the keep, he overheard a few Meeps talking. He tried to listen to their intended concepts, but in the shadow of the corner, a new meaning popped into his mind like a letter being written before his eyes. Words floated above him, mixing and combining.
"We must.... save... him." The words began to take on a new voice - a voice that echoed deep within the recesses of his memory. A second voice arose from the void.
"We'll never... see him... again." Suddenly it was as if he was taken out of reality and into a darkness. It was a warm, comforting darkness. A soft paw held his head close to the softness.
"Trust... my father... he can take... H...A...N...S...O...B...E...R." The voices were fading and the warmth began to recede. He tried to reach out and grab it to keep it close.
"Don't leave me," Hansober mumbled into the growing silence, "Don't leave me behind."
His sight returned and he found himself staring at the wall, shadows of Meeps cast long and dark along its flat surface. The images morphed in an instant to monstrous figures that he almost recognized. They disappeared just as fast as they appeared and Hansober was left to himself once again.
"Please..."

I'm sorry the picture isn't as interesting as the story. I realize multiple better images could have been made more interesting, but I just wanted to get used to Meep anatomy first. This is my first deviation of KitterKeep besides the application please have mercy.

Any headcanons as to what the heck that is and what the heck is his backstory?
