Yay! I finally finished this freaking thing! UGH!As this is my first custom guitar ever I am pleased that I finished it.
I only had access to a jigsaw and a Dremel so it is far from perfect lol.
This was completed overy a couple of weeks of and on so I don't have an accurate work hour total.
I will be bringing this to BronyCon so if your going this year come check it out!
I am willing to sell the guitar but not until the con. I will probobly hold a silent auction or somthing like that but yeah.
Just know this is no where near a professional guitar lol but I dare say it's the only one like it!! :3

Oh I know it, since this was kind of a experiment I couldn't really splurge on too much for materials but if I did it again I would totally use a colored vinyls for her face. I was actually working on making the knobs out of dice with little speakers cut into them but it kinda failed :/
Never the less when I do it again It will be much improved upon!

well there's quite a bit into makeing guitars but since I wanted to sell this for a very low price at a con. I picked up a cheap donor guitar for parts grabbed the wood and tools I needed, make the design cut out the body, remade the neck and some of the electronivs , cut the scratch guard, and painted it!

I would say that kit guitars will be quite pricey because of their "hobbyist" label. I would suggest if you gonna do an electric with a neck with no frills, find a cheap existing guitar that has a straight neck, working truss rod, and head stock shape you can either reshape or one that you like. I would then of course try and reuse as much of the hardware as possible and go from there. But unless you've got a fairly good outfitted shop, a lot of time and materials, and a working knowledge of wood working and electronics it can be very expensive to build your own guitar with pre-made parts and materials. This is not at all intended to intimidate you but there is a reason why custom guitars cost thousands of dollars. Please if you have any more questions just hit me up, I will be more than willing to shed some light on the subject. After all, I'm learning too
