I went with my family to see the play "Into the Woods." I really liked it, especially since I've been reading the Grimm Fairy Tales. I love them. After the play, I got this idea for this picture. Didn't have to put much thought into it. Yes, that is Exile from Road Rovers as the big bad wolf. And Little Red is my character Mira.

Not that Exile is a horrible person or a wolf, it just sort of fit the part for my character. She's given a choice to either continue to be human and live her life as a normal person as she was intended to (The Path), or she can choose to stay as she is and stay with the Road Rovers (The Wolf).

And maybe some of my viewers have a choice so similar to this picture. Maybe you're given a choice to stay on a path someone has laid out for you, and it's a safe path. And there's nothing wrong with that path if that's what you want to do. But there's another path that has excitment and that not a lot of people have taken, but it has more danger in it and there's chance of failure.

There was a song in "Into the Woods" that I remember Little Red Riding Hood singing. She was singing about how it was horrible that the wolf tricked her and tried to eat her, and if she didn't listen to him in the first place, nothing bad would have happened to her. But if she didn't listen to the wolf, she wouldn't have stopped and looked at the more beautiful flowers that were further from the path.

Sorry, I'm being a little philosophical. I can't help it, I was an English major in college.

It's been a while since I colored a picture with a background. Even if it's kindof crap, I don't think it looks so bad. I wish that I can draw hands better. Exile's hand is crap too. But I drew Mira pretty well. When I first started drawing Road Rovers, all my pictures of her are awful. But I think I'm getting better. I still suck at drawing Hunter.
