So Ive been doing a warm up drawing before I get to work on my pages everyday this week. Suddenly it occurred to me that this Catwoman warm up was actually a pretty good drawing. So i spent the rest of the weeks 'warm up' time finishing it
I've been watching Adam Hughes tutorials on how to colour with markers does it show? ha ha, well anyway hope you all like it

Hey Emily, love your Catwoman pic. I was just wondering how you can sell DC and Marvel Characters? I would like to do the same but am worried about Copy rights.

I dont tend to sell that many copyrighted characters to be honest but the ones I do sell I sell because they are my own version of their character its not a carbon copy or a trace or something. I try to differentiate between DC's Catwoman and Emily Peacock's Catwoman sometimes the line gets a little blurry but DC arnt concerned with some small artist making a few bucks off their characters because its small change to them. If you were selling 100's of Catwoman prints a day it would be a little different but a couple of prints a year isnt a concern for them. I should also note I dont actually sell prints of this drawing I could if there was demand for them but I've been selling a lot more commissions as of late.Β

Really? I loveΒ Guillem March'd take on Catwoman as far as I'm concerned the only people who draw her better are Lee Bermejo and Adam Hughes I'd argue Jim Lee but only in Hush. But Im glad you like my drawing thank you very much

I could never get past those ugly goggles, made her look like a bug. I like Catwoman in heels too, any idiot can leap about in flats. Only Catwoman can do all this...in heelsΒ

I love the googles personally they are very Audrey Hepburn to me. Nice big 50's sunglasses style. The leaping about in heels really is a skill though I cant ever walk in the damn things ha ha
