I did a jumping pic semi-recently, and I found jumping over driftwood on a beach makes a great shot. Look up some driftwood stock and see if you get inspired!

Your cutting looks a bit choppy and linear in places. It looks like you're using the Pen Tool, and kudos for that, but you should take full advantage of the curves you can make with that tool. Make a point in the middle of a line, hold Ctrl, and drag the point. A curved line ensues!
