the forest always kept us warm. but it doesn't feel like home anymore.

inspired by black swan song by athlete.

this is the first piece i've done where i've actually blown myself away. i cannot believe how amazing the mane and tail look, and i painted them using a quick, simple technique. i love the lighting and the feel of this artwork, and i am obsessed with the song. it would probably have fit better if i'd actually used a black horse (black swan song), but i've had this horse cut out for months. it went from bay, to buckskin, to black, to bay again when i finally got inspiration again.
