Description 70cm x 50cm

In honour of Andy Irons as I finished painting it on the day he died.

This has taken me about 3 months to complete with a break of about 2 months in between as i had a complete block work-wise. I have changed it significantly in the past week as it started out very yellow and green with an idyllic island landscape in the background. However, i wasn't feeling the finished product and blocked out all the yellow with black and dark blue paint and covered up the palm trees with a murky, dirty sky. I'm much happier with the finished product now. Hope you all like it

Yes I loved it! the part when the wave falls...looks like the transparency of the water
you make me feel like in the ocean under a wave,your paintings look like photographs

Thank you. I changed the colour so many times before i decided it was finished.
It only felt right to dedicate this as i was finishing it when i found out about his death. It's strange because i don't surf but am so fascinated and inspired by big waves.
