I read the comments and I can't understand why is everyone so stunned by the scars. It's not sad that they are healed, but the fact that someone, at some point was so emotionally weak to do this and the thought of carrying that action ON you till the rest of your life. Sure, it's sad when someone's going through a painful time, but the achievement is to handle that pain with your head up, not by bruising yourself. And yes, there is a lot of anger and rage in this photo. The absence of blood, doesn't change that. Cry, yell, swear, but never hurt your body and make it suffer because of your emotional condition.
I apologize if you got this all wrong, my point wasn't to make you feel bad. This is simply how I feel about moves like this that can sometimes cost you your life...

this is a very powerful image,the fact that they are "healed" make all the point in here.I don't think i've seen such a powerful image without anger and rage words within.But you look over it,i am happy that is visible.My hope is that you are.

Thank you, so very much. It means so much to me for you to say that. I feel that a picture of healed scars, should immediatly make it about the past. Too many people belive that having scars means your messed up all the time, that you cant change. Hence the title. : )

i have a few,i remember them just when someone is watching.
It's a proof that actually time can heal,i related with the past constantly,and i understand how people see as something permanent.That you messed up back then and now,all the time.
Sure it's easy to judge because it's exposed,we actually have something that says : " i let myself get out of control once " ,but once does not means always.

Same, theres something about how you can tell when someone is looking or seeing them for the first time. Sometimes all to easy to read their expressions.

Yes and no, it is sad, it can be sad. But mostly it is how people react to such pictures or even just seeing them in real life. It was despressing and sad. But now, its just the past, time to let things go. I certainly hope you get what I mean.
