Character: DianaSeries: Rule of Rose
Took some pictures in an abandon house recently. I was lucky enough to be the test subject for night photos for two very good budding photographers.

I have to ask-- Where did the Diana get her dress? Or how did she make it? I plan on doing a rule of rose cosplay sometime soon and Right now I'm leaning into Diana xD;;

I made it. I had to hand dye the stripes and the pattern was something I just made via trail and error. It was so long ago, I don't remember if I used patterns or what patterns I used. But if you need reference photos, I have a zip pile of all mine here: www.channelavi.com/?portfolio=...

God, the setting is just perfect. Did you doll it up to make it look extra-creepy, or was it like that already? Anyway, Diana looks great! The lighting makes her especially pale, too - like a ghost, which perfect for this haunted-looking place!

This was actually in a house that was abandoned during the 1970s. It was out in the middle of nowhere in IL and most of it was still in 'good shape.' Nothing was taken out, no graffiti. But all the stuff had been left there and damaged over time from animals, mold, dust, the house falling apart. I'll post a picture of the outside of the house in a few days

Not really. We had gone to it before. I was more cold then anything. It was about 40 degrees out and the wind blew through the house pretty bad. All I had was this thin cotton dress, my boots and my wig!

I had to dye all the stripes by hand. That was the longest part of the costume. But I really love how it turned out!

Your matrial is really good! Where did you get it from?

I got it from the quilting section at a Huge Joann fabrics. Took FOREVER to find one I liked. Originally the lined were all White and brown, but because I wanted it to be darker, I colored in every other line by hand with brown dye markers. Making the fabric was probably the longest part of making the costume... and to be honest, I'm still not happy with it. I want to age it more so it looks more woren, but I can't because the fabric is to thin. That and I really would rather the lighter stripes be a bit darker. Your colors are just perfect.
