look at it this way: for as many copies of Inkheart as there are, there is that much Dustfinger to go around. So each of us giddy little fangirls drooling on our copy has our own Dustfinger.

i didn't used to like Jacopo, but he grew on me at the end of Inkhdeath. I liked Farid at first, but then he just got so...uncool for the way he treated Meggie throughout the same book! The Black Prince and Dustfinger were the only two who really always stayed cool (well, I suppose Silvertongue/Mo was cool most of the time too...)

that's because the Black Prince is amazing, and never does anything to piss anyone off.
and both my friend and I agreed, it was as if someone had beaten Meggie with a Stupid Stick. I totally thought (in my perfect little world) that she and Farid would end up together, but I guess Doria was okay too...it made it so I could rub it in my friend's face. Farid was her favorite, and Dustfinger was mine, so when he died, she laughed, and now I can say, "Hey bish, my favorite character got a happy ending and yours got SHUNNED!"

I was terrified she'd kill off the Prince, but then I thought, "No...she's not J.K. Rowling!"
and Doria just sounded like, a freaking little kid. Like some little fourteen-year-old wuss (no offense if you're of that general age range! I've been reading these books for almost eight years so...).
And I know what you mean with the crying though: I walked into my senior year English class, looked at my teacher and said, "If I suddenly throw myself to the ground and scream 'WHYYYYYY?' just ignore me." For four days.

xD I thankfully finnished both books at home (Hurhur, 300 pages in a night...) but I was still sobbing really hard Cx then the next day in class I was going through book withdrawal...
(I didn't want to read anything but more of the Inkheart series) xD I just kept thinking, "Wahhh....I want moooore..." and kept thinking of Farid and Dustfinger xDD So I watched Aladdin when I got home to calm my nerves..
