A/N: This is the first fic that I've ever written.. and I wrote it in half an hour.. so if you review.. spare me! T_T I've been feeling squishy lately and I really want to spread the Shikamaru love! -digital harts float all around-

You'd grown up with him. You were the "bestest" friends in the whole wide world [awww... :3 -is smacked by reader- ITE!]. When you wanted to go on the swings he would complain about how bothersome it was the entire way there, his hands stuck in his pockets while he slouched along beside you.
Not that he refused to push you while you where there.

(*moment as a child*)
As you giggled and your long [color] hair swept up into pigtails flew past your face he couldn't help but chuckle to himself as he pushed you forward. He did enjoy it.
(*end*)

Both of you were laying on your backs on a grassy hill watching the clouds.
"Alright, how about.. hmm.. an egg," came his voice from a few feet to your left. This was a game you played; one would spot a cloud similar to an object and the other would have to find it.

You screwed up your face and laughed. "Almost ALL of them look like eggs!" you exclaimed. It was true: almost every single cloud had an oblong egg-shape to it.

"That just makes it easier for me to win and more likely that I won't have to buy lunch tomorrow," he smirked as he looked at you out of the corner of his eye. (Very out of character, I know! I'm sorry! -is flogged once more- ITAI! ;~

"Ugh! That's not fair Shikamaru!" you whined.

"Aii.. how troublesome.." he muttered under his breath.

Several moments passed before you said, "Let's go swinging! We haven't done that in ages!" Excited, you grabbed his wrist and pulled him along.

Did he just slip his hand into yours?
Before you could look down to confirm it you lost your footing and face-planted into the grass. Well.. he did laugh at you, but it's not like he was making fun of you..

His hand, suprisingly soft, reached down to help you up. You accepted, but felt uneasy as his other hand reached around to hold your waist as you steadied yourself. Before you could inquire about it his hands disappeared into his pockets once more, the scowl on his face returning.

The walk there was full of little clumsy moments, you performing them, and both of your voices in laughter.

Once the swing was in sight you broke out into a sprint; Shikamaru had at times sat on it himself just to spite you. By the time he had caught up you were kicking your feet and whining, "C'mon Shi'maruuuu~ push meee~~~" as though you were a child, dispite the fact you were both 16.

The familiar feeling of his hands gently pushing you forward comforted you. His lips curling into a little grin as he watched you tilt your head back and giggle. What he didn't notice was that he had remained motionless until your legs, kicking back to get higher on the swing, came into contact with his lower half. He made a very audible grunt as he toppled over.

"AIIIIEE! Shikamaru! I'm so sorry! Oh my gosh!" You hurriedly made your way to his form, which had quite taken to the fetal position. "Are you okay?" you asked, knowing quite well he was in a state of pain.

"Damn.. swings.. are so.. troublesome.." he groaned, making you giggle. He chuckled feebly.

"Should I go and get some ice?" you asked, still kind of freaking out. "What am I talking about? Go back to our spot on the hill and I'll meet you there really soon!"

He rose with your help and 'gimped' his way back to where you two had previously been. The ice was accepted with much gratitude as he set it on top of himself. "..." ... "Say, you want to finish our game?" he asked after looking up at the sky for awhile.

A smile cracked the solemn look on your face, "Yeah, but nothing so.. ugh.. y'know."

"Mmhmm." He sat in thought for awhile, the silence peaceful. "How about lips?"

Your eyes swept across the sky several times, but you just couldn't find what you were looking for. After several minutes of frustration you began to complain, "Shikamaru, I can't fi-"

You were cut off by a single finger pressed to your lips. 'Damn, he moves fast' you thought as you felt him settle upon your lower half. 'Wait, what is he doing?' Your face was contorted with confusion. "Sometimes you just don't get it (name).." He slowly began to descend upon your upper half. His lips ever so softly brushed against yours. He pulled away just enough to get a look at your face. Those beautiful eyes of his looked into your bright (color) orbs with something you had never seen before. This was so uncharacteristic of him. You never expected him to make the move.
No, it wasn't bothering you, and it sure showed because he came back down close and began to kiss the spot right behind your ear, and slowly made his way back to your lips. A few seconds passed until you both began to get more into it. You wrapped your hands around his neck as one of his cupped your cheek, the other reaching up the side of your shirt to rub your skin with his fingertips. His lips began to part, tongue surfacing.
You opened your mouth in a fluid motion and felt his tongue begin to explore. This was enjoyable for a few minutes until you started to hear snickering from a passerby.
You smiled as he pulled you into his arms as he layed back.
His heart was pounding against his chest you just set your head upon it.
He drew little circles on your back with one finger, his other hand running itself through your hair as you snuggled up close to his neck.

Well, I think that it was pretty good for my first one. I wish that I had read it instead of being the one who wrote it.
