Gwen and Miles were like two peas in a pod. They were Peter Parker's understudies and were learning how to be the best Spiderman and SpiderGwen around and how to use their powers to help the everyday common man or woman in New York.

That all changed when a weird fusion of Thanos and Deadpool arrived in possession of the Infinity Gauntlet. They knee it was bad news, but not how bad it was going to be. The Fusion weirdo snapped his fingers and then began to fuse various heroes together.

First Iron Man and Dr Strange became Iron Supreme, Captain America and Black Widow became Captain Widow, Peter Parker fused with Laura Kenny to become Spiderrine and Miles fused with Gwen.

Thus Gwen Stacey and Miles Morales ceased to be when the weird Titan left. All that remained was Gwen Morales. The Hybrid Spider.
