Blue eyes:
Not so blue, not so familiar.
I cheated on you.
Yellow lights.

A hammering presence –
the pounding of words
driving ivory pins into my skull.
Acidic, biting;
                eating at my stomach.

A rush of vanilla candles:
Why vanilla?
                I don’t even like vanilla.
Limp arms,
the reformation of black plastic chairs.
I know he loves me.

And,
taken aback –
                 an unexpected response;
trembling epiphany running black down my cheeks.
And I realize how much
                                                 I truly love him.

Not at all, Jeffy It just refers to a scene I am working on for a drama festival right now. It is how the experience of doing the scene effected me that I wrote about.
