Description
Life Dragons are the Apex of the Carnal Dragons, responsible for the existence of their lesser brethren. When a Death Dragon has consumed enough of the vital essence of the once-living, they molt into the form of the Life Dragon, negative energy separating from positive within their body. The split positive energy is repelled from its body, causing new life to spring forth around them, making these dragons objects of worship to those ignorant of their origins, or otherwise fearful of their power. Eventually, corruptive negative energy begins to escape with the life-giving rays of positive energy they emanate, causing the life they spawn to inevitably become twisted and grotesque, causing both all new life around them, as well as their worshippers, to take on aberrant shapes. It is from this inescapable corruption that the other Carnal Dragons are born, hatching from eggs whose nests were located within proximity of an aging Life Dragon. Death Dragons breed true, the only Carnal Dragon to do so.
When engaged in combat, Life Dragons can release a blinding cone of searing light from within that ignites the spirits of anything caught inside it, as the celestial essence is far too powerful and concentrated for any mortal life to survive exposure.
