The Aladdin tv show was one of my favorites when I was in elementary school, and Mirage was always my favorite character. After a few more years of drawing practice, I tried remembering how to draw her...Conclusion: Photoshop dominates crayons.
And yes, I totally skimped on the background. Meh. I be sleepy right now. zzzzz

Shit, where can I find it...?! I remember there was one episode where Jasmine was turning into a snake, but I never found out how it ended (I assume well) because my dad was like "let's leave the house, yo"

And yep, Jasmine was cured, but Aladdin let himself be turned into a snake too so they could be together as weird snakey people. But then everything fixed itself... somehow...
Mirage was my life when I was about 7 or 8. Sad when no one at my school knew what the hell you were talking about unless it involved the Spice Girls or Hanson.

I've always wanted to go to Katsucon and I've heard plenty about it, but none of my friends are into that sort of thing and there's no way I'm going alone! I've never been to a con, but it's def. on my list of things to do someday. I've got cosplays planned, if I can ever learn how to sew properly....

XD That sucks. Yeah, in hgih school, I didn't have anime-loving friends, either. I'm going and cosplaying as Rukia. I'd offer space in my room, but it's full with art bums I know off of this site, lol. I know a couple UPenn students who're going but you haven't met, which could pose a problem. But if hosing's not a rpobelm, I'd say it's worth a 1-day pass to check out Saturday. People are pretty friendly, so you can make temporary friends rather quick. I'll be in artist's alley, though, if you decided to go and need like, a mentor or something.

Rukia! Neat. I've got a Sakura cosplay (from Naruto) in the making, but I'm not wearing it on my first time.
I might be able to drop in just on a day trip. I don't live right in D.C., but about 30 minutes away, so it wouldn't be too hard to drive in and take a peek. I'll see if I can make it!

This is why I *lurve* the Metro. No parking needed, and it goes everywhere... mostly.
L'Enfant must've been drunk when he planned DC. It's super easy to get lost. Triangular blocks help NO ONE.
