Irene is, above all else, a very hard-working woman. Once she is set on a goal, she refuses to be stopped. She is loyal and fiercely protective, carrying a strong sense of justice close to her heart. She is honest, genuine, and proud. She thinks before she acts, and always maintains a composed and sturdy presence no matter the circumstance. Despite her composure, she still struggles with a bit of a temper. She has no tolerance for disrespect or any action that breaches her code of ethics. Irene does not shy away from conflict- her temper is most visible in debates in which she swiftly shuts down anyone who speaks ill of her or something she cares about.
Although she excels in public speaking, Irene's not great with people one-on-one. She's very direct and doesn't like to waste time, which may serve her well in a professional setting but in private she can come off as impatient, aloof, and difficult to read. It's never her intention to be unfriendly- in fact, she enjoys conversation much more than her scowling face would imply- but she's a natural introvert who doesn't go out of her way to make friends either. It's easy to annoy her, and while she's not one to retaliate over petty matters, even minor transgressions will weigh down her opinions of others. That said, if one manages to get close to her, she is boundlessly devoted.
She's incredibly proud and very sure of herself. When she knows something, she knows something- she has enough things to stress about without second-guessing herself. She is prudent, and puts a lot of trust in her own judgment. Although her confidence is usually warranted, given that she has a good sense of judgment, it can make it difficult for her to notice when she's called something incorrectly or change her mind. She tries to extend this trust to those close to her, firmly believing that trust is an integral part of relationships and that she must have faith in her loved ones. However, her soft spot for her family can make her easy to deceive, as this trust is somewhat blind and she hates to assume the worst of them.
Not only is she critical of others but she is extremely critical of herself. Her confidence only comes from knowing that she is giving her best at all times. She assumes responsibility for everything she could possibly have her hand in, and considers it a personal failure if something goes wrong. She has trouble truly relaxing because she's never satisfied until things are flawless, and becomes extremely frustrated when things don't meet her standards. She's quite self-aware of her critical nature and temper, and she tries to hide them as she knows she can be irrational: She doesn't want to pressure her children the way she felt pressured as a child, but this can lead to her overcompensating and being too lenient with them, ironically enough. She hates to feel angry or disappointed, to the point where she is reluctant to fault her loved ones for anything for fear of resenting them. History:
- Youngest child in her family, committed to working hard to avoid feeling overshadowed by her fuckup older siblings
- Inherited her father's temper and mother's perfectionism. Coupled with generally being introverted, she didn't make many friends. In fact, she was kind of an angry brat in her early teens. She accidentally activated a couple of moves growing up, though thankfully never hurt anyone in doing so- she ended up forgetting most of her childhood moves.
- Meets Ji Jun in high school, a Zorua transfer from Johto. They hit it off, both being kinda lonely mon, and eventually end up dating.
- Surprise! She's pregnant at 18. Thanks, Ji. They decide to keep the kid and she continues on with college.
- Surprise again, the kid is kids: Jerold and Jonah. Life is a nightmare of scheduling and finances, but they're a determined little family.
- Eventually graduates and goes on to law school. Has another child, Jeannine. Managing the boys is a handful- Jerell's in therapy and Jonesy is just generally difficult in school, but she hopes he'll grow out of his temper a bit like she did.
- After law school goes on to be a lawyer for a few years. Eventually gets her position as a law professor.
- Has more daughters: Josephine, Jaxine and Jaya. Meanwhile her sons- just entering high school- can't seem to stay out of trouble.
- Couple years later, she and Ji are making plans to move the family to Kalos for a big opportunity Ji got. And then Jonesy nearly dies. Thanks, Jonesy. She puts Jerell back in therapy.
- OH AND SHE'S PREGNANT AGAIN. THANKS, JI. They move anyway, it's Lumiose time.
- Soon enough she secures a new job in Lumiose and her final child Janet is born. Now she's trying to raise 7 kids while prepping one son for college and begrudgingly accepting that the other doesn't want to get a degree. Thanks Jerell.
- Still being a woman with few friends, she uses her free time to practice her moves a little and learns a couple new ones. Strength comes in handy when you need to carry your reluctant, 200-something pound son to the hospital.
- Present day she's still doing her best to mother all her little gremlin kids. With just one year of college left for Jonesy, she knows she's gotta kick the boys out soon. Soon becomes late 2017 when she kicks the twins out after they have a particularly bad fight in the house.

PHYSICAL
- Part of her brindle is two fire spots remaining on her head from her Quilava days.
- Her fire collar is typically scorching to the touch. As such, she prefers to keep it unlit. However, should she lose her temper or use Eruption, it immediately explodes to life.
- She exhales smoke when irritated.
- She does, in fact, tend to ramble. Irene is incredibly verbose.
- Irene fears only three things: failure, harm befalling her family, and flying. Fuck planes. God she hates planes.
- Not artistically oriented in the slightest. She's exceedingly proud of her more artistic kids, thank god they took after their father in that regard.
- She's the only one in the family who actually calls Jonesy "Jonah." On the other hand, she uses the nickname "Jelly Bean" for Jerell.
- She is strongly pro-move and thinks the move ban is a disgraceful and cowardly course of action for Kalos.
- She has no ties to the Argo Navis, and is unaware of her sons' participation.
