LOOK something besides a comic page! IT'S A COLLAB!!!!! with the SUPER AWESOME AHHH!!!! It's of Linan and Jeckle, who belong to SURPRISE!!!Let's seeee idk. I came up with some rough ideas, Luna did a sketch of the whole thing and lined and flatted the characters, I did the background, she shaded and added some effects, and I added MORE effects!
. I wanted to do something big and gaudy as the background. I always thought that if they ever got out of Vesper, Linan and Jeckle would go on a bucket-list style tour of the planet to see all the pretty things! And blue is the PRETTIEST of all things!
Aaaand yes. Omg collabs are my favorite. THANK YOU FOR THE COLLAB MISCHEE IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!

Oh my gosh, I'm horribly embarrassed about how long it took me to see this beautiful artwork. ;_; I've been so busy with moving houses and making up hours at work lately that I haven't been online much at all in the last few months. I apologize, and I hope that you weren't offended or disappointed!
First, I want to say that I appreciate so much that the two of you took time to make something so powerful, detailed, and overall just stunningly executed. I'm not sure about Whi, but I know that you've been so busy yourself over the summer.... it's really touching that you took some of your precious free time to do something for me. I feel honoured, and I'm so grateful. It's been sort of a long last few months, so this was really a wonderful pick-me-up.
Dude, that background is just gorgeous. I am in awe of ALL OF THAT GRASS. The way it flows and creates a feeling of depth as its texture disappears in the distance. Those mountains are beautiful, too, with the thin rivulets of snow... I can only imagine that will be the next place that they decide to voyage! I swear, I see new, wondrous details every time I look at this again; the veils of mist over the lake and the craggy trees in the lea.
I just adore the beautiful evening colours and the little details, too: the way that the sprawling Milky Way in the sky mirrors the spray of the rushing water below. Everything is just so lush and almost real enough to touch... I love how there's something interesting to look at and contemplate everywhere in the painting, yet it manages to near feel too "noisy" or cluttered.
You guys make an incredible team! I hope that you'll do more work together in the future. It's great to dee two of my favourite artists come together to make something so wonderful, and again I'm so grateful that you chose to do something for me. Thank you so, so much!!
(And you're right... I think they will want to see everything!

But seriously, it was SO my pleasure! I know you haven't had the greatest summer so far (it's like Summer 2014 is the worst summer ever for us all!!!!), so I'm glad it cheered you up a bit!
AHAHA THE BACKGROUND WAS SO MUCH FUN. I wish everyone just drew the characters and had me make gaudy colorful mountainscapes for them. That would be ideal. PLUS SKIES. The Milky Way is always really hard to get right. It's this annoying combination of soft and bright and ethereal and cloudy but not so much that it's clouds and ahhhh it's complicated <__<.
AND YES I totally hope Whi and I play again soon. It was way too much fun!!

I'm fond of hand-made grass <3 this is a lot more graceful than brushes.
One of the part of the pic I prefer is the head, first of all, I love the character's eyes and expression, but the light reflection against the head is ... delicious

Oh my god yes I'm a hopeless pile of mush without refs. I free-hand some thing like grass because really who needs a ref for grass maybe that's why mine sucks so much HAHAHA but mountains and skies ESPECIALLY MILKY WAYS HOW DO THEY WORK and clouds I must reference or I die. The tigerly goodness is ALL Whiluna . She did that glorious pose and all the shading and details on the characters. I maybe threw in a color overlay gradient thing here or there, but really didn't touch the characters besides that. I DID do the background however so THANK YOU!!!!! Mountains and skies and blue are like all of my favorite things ahaha. Thank you for the lovely comment!
