Description
Soon after the USA entered in the Vietnam war, it started developing a water craft capable of patrolling the rivers and shallow waterways of Vietnam . the Patrol Boat River (PBR or "Pibber") went into service in 1966. designed to provide support,disrupt weapons/supply shipments,and insert and extract Navy SEAL teams. the PBR was lightly armored and had little protection but made up for it with fire power. front mounted dual .50cals, back mounted .50cal, assorted mounted m60's, along with small arms. maned by a crew of 4, a PBR would often head into the jungle for days at a time and was almost destined to see action

This is my 1/35 Tamiya PBR with Eduard photo etched , Verlinden resin stowage and figure. 3 custom figurines and a random assortment of scratch built and bin details.painted in enamels and weathered with art acrylics and pastels. there is still a few things i would like to do to it(hull weathering and stand ect) but so far i have spent an incredible amount of time on it, and its time to take a break(best not to get burnt out) anyways this kit is a little old so i did have more than a few parts break and such.more than a few things could of come out better but for now i am pretty happy with it. maybe in a few months ill put the last finishing touches on it and work up the courage to bring it a lake for a photo shoot.
