Description ... and now for something completely different: Scanography!
I had to remove my beautiful but withered bouquet of tulips.
But before that, I took a picture of it - with my scanner and a little bit of Photoshop magic
and so I'm very happy with this seemingly baroque everlasting memory.

Thank you, dear Rian!!! To scan flowers brings a lot of fun, but it is not my idea. 
If you google it you will see so much amazing art of this kind. The possibilities are endless - I love it!

hab ich geschaut. ist ja echt fantastisch, was dabei raus kommt. ich glaub aber, daß mein vater mich solche sachen nicht mit seinem scanner machen lässt

Schade, aber das tut dem Scanner ja nix. Man muss nur hinterher die Glasplatte wieder schön putzen...

Na das läuft dir ja nicht weg. Vielleicht hast du ja mal einen eigenen. Die sind ja nicht sooo teuer.

That turned out quite nice!   Did you leave the cover up or did you need to cover all of it with something black?

Thank you and yes, I did it with the lid open and by deepest and darkest night and a black scarf covering the PC screen to avoid every light source in my room.
