Recently, I think people have gotten the idea that if you like Twilight you must be:

1. a thirteen-year-old girl
2. a complete idiot
3. a scary fanatic
4. into Twilight and nothing else
5. immature and incapable of typing out sentences

That's a misconception.

Believe it or not, there are mature fans out there who do have other interests beside Twilight. Myself? I enjoy watching and reading many other materials. The Twilight Saga makes up only four books on my bookshelf, so don't judge me by those pages that I read and, yes, I did enjoy it. Twilight fans do not enjoy getting lumped together, especially now that all these radical things being done are coming out into the news.

I understand that not everyone likes Twilight. A lot of people have devoted their time to making Anti-Twilight things (I'm guilty of that, too, as several things in my gallery clearly belong to that general idea) and that's fine with me. I can see how Twilight is cliche and its characters are Mary Sues. I really can.

You know what? I still enjoy it. I've read worse things. Just look around on fan fiction sites. At least Twilight can claim it had alright grammar.

So, please. When you meet someone who likes Twilight, give them a chance. We're not all idiots who will stab you just because you have different interests than we do. We're all different and I really, truly love that fact about the world.

If we all loved the same thing, the world would truly be a scary place. Please... I respect your opinions. Please respect mine, as well. I'm not an idiot just because I enjoyed that book the first time I read it.
