Something loose-fitting and plain would have suited Shio just fine, for comfort was the priority when it came to dress in the eyes of the lazy young man. So his mother, having wrangled her husband into something presentable after dressing up pretty herself, decided to do her part in preserving the good family name and wrangle Shio into something nice as well, something mature. After a while of uncomfortable pacing, wriggling and glaring, the ensemble started to grow on Shio... well, when he made suitable adjustments of course. Who needed a shirt underneath anyway. He bit back a grin and headed over to the doorway leading outside where his father stood between the frame, staring out at the blackening sky.

It seemed like only yesterday Shio was little and crawling around. Now he almost stood the same height as his candle maker father. Glancing towards his son standing to the side the man noticed that mischievous, excited glint in his eyes. The glint he recognised... only this time it sat in the eyes of a man. When did Shio grow up? He wondered.

"Don't look so cocky like that when we're out or you'll upset your mother," His father yawned tugging at his own uncomfortable collar before slapping a hand on Shio's shoulder. He stared out at the world for a moment in silence.

Upon feeling a hand on his shoulder Shio looked up at his father. He wasn't a man of many words but Shio knew what he was trying to say.
Expression softening he slapped a hand on his father's shoulder too, lips quirking up into a grin as he followed the other man's gaze towards the stars above.
"Yes daaaaad," He chuckled softly.
