At this point Shio thought he was on top of the world. He was fairly arrogant and disinterested in learning to change his way of being, though 80% of the time he didn’t let this side of him show outright. He was ignorant. He thought the world would hand everything to him like his parents had done.
Shio struggles with his ideal self vs real self. At this stage in his life he was much closer to his ideal self so had less issues with self-doubt and lack of motivation. He found being somewhat of an adrenaline junkie helped with his feelings of uselessness.
Other than this he wouldn’t be all that different to Post-Timeskip Shio.
Notable Changes during the Time-Skip (if any):
- His parent's mortality was abruptly brought to his attention first by the Masked Men attack, then by the violence in Torogakure's streets too close for comfort. Learned to become a better son and formed a better relationship with his parents. It's still a work in progress.
- Took the withdrawn approach rather than motivational approach towards the Masked Men trauma. Started to train less and give in to his lazy urges.
- Formed closer bonds with the friends he had. Some were likely strained by the clan conflict but Shio would put this to the back of his mind.
- Developed an inferiority complex. Keeps it to himself.
Important Events during the Time-Skip (if any):
- Neutral towards Asukai/Kitsune conflict as he doesn't want any involvement. Can't help but lean ever so slightly towards Kitsune though because of friendships with clan members.
- Tarou had seemed invincible. Knowing somebody like that could be killed left Shio feeling vulnerable. For the first time ever he worried about the village as a whole.
- Figures somebody in charge is better than nobody and is hopeful Akihiko will restore some balance to Torogakure.
- Has not chosen a faction for himself yet...
