In Greek mythology, Andromeda is the daughter of the king Cepheus and his wife Cassiopeia. When Cassiopeia boasts that Andromeda is more beautiful than sea nymphs Nereids, Poseidon sends the sea monster to ravage the kingdom as divine punishment. Andromeda was chained naked to a rock as a sacrifice to sate the monster. Perseus killed the sea monster and set Andromeda free, and then married her.

It's not just the contrast between model and stone in the upper half of the image; it's also the contrast between the rough stone and the smooth statuary in the lower half; and then it's the contrast between the two halves, living woman and statue, separated yet united by the rough stone.

I wanted the lower part be the reflection of the upper part in a dark water (or glass). And replace the girl with the statue to make the whole picture somehow surreal )
