Ok, after a bit of a file uploading debocle, I have replaced the file and now the masses may enjoy the first skin I ever made. As I said, this was the first skin I had ever made for winamp.Oh, and about it looking like rasterbation. I have already confronted this issue, and since I see that it is necessary, I'll do it again. When I started this skin, I didn't have any templates to go by, and I wasn't about to go by the base skin because not everything is outlined like it needs to be to be an efficient base to work from. Therefore, I used rasterbation (© Monaux and Xcaponious) as the base to work from so I could tell where to put everything. You may think that that was actually harder than using the base skin... but for some reason, it worked for me. Now back to the issue at hand. Since I used the skin as the base, yes, the screen color is very similar, and so is the style. It's also my own personal style. I also would not ever rip anything off of such well-known artists because that would be really stupid.
So... here's the skin!

to be honest, ithink this kicks the shit out of Rasterbation (no offense XCaponius and especially Monaux) and that other thing that looks like Rasterbation called Something Wonderful (here: [link] )
Just my opinion... you should have kept skinning you showed promise endosage, similar in style and quality to Monaux. You would have been an elite sci-tech/industrial skinner, i know it

Ha! Thanks! I didn't even know that anyone was still looking at that skin! By the way, had I not gone to Mac (for music and graphic production), I would still be making skins for Winamp. That being said... look for a new Shapeshifter skin to be coming by the way of my page. I've been messing around with it much too... much, for nothing to be posted here.

cool. i look forward to it! those two skins have had my eye for quite a while, just my resurgence in winamp2 skins got me commenting again not to mention i had to redownload all my favorites recently (glad to find that I still could get yours).

I think this is a rip, as well. Sure, it's not copied, but the text.bmp is surely ripped, as is the text in the eq/pl shuf/rep buttons. And it looks like you ripped the app. buttons (close, min, winshade), then blurred them to cover it up.
Looks like you're just trying to save your own ass, honestly, when you know what you did is wrong. Using somebody else's skin as a base is grounds for ripping. Basically, you opened up their skin without permission and editted it. That's called ripping.
Does Monaux and XCaponius know about this thing?

This is a nice skin but it would be better if the letters were darker so that I didnt have such a hard time reading them. Other then that I thought it was great.

Yes, it feels like Rasterbation, but it certainly isn't a rip. People, ripping is taking graphics from someone else and calling them yours. If you open Rasterbation and this side-by-side you can clearly see they're very different. Using the same general rusted-metal-and-blue color scheme doesn't mean it's a rip.
Nice work Endosage, hoping there will be more WA2 skins from you in the future.

heh- i've been seein' a hellubba lotta screenshots for this one around, or i've just seen the same out over and over again... oh well, i've been wondering what happened to it! it's very nice... very rasterbation, though, like you say
