Okay, i know it doesn't look like as good as my digital art. That's because it's my very first acrylic painting ever. Amazing, i found a medium that actually dries faster than i'm able to paint. I tried a few things... found out that i like acrylic paint, but that i need a good deal of practise.That's Nightmare, one of my favorite characters from Soul Calibur (SC2). He is a lot slower than my usual favorites, but i like his elegant powerful fighting style and so i decided to draw a fanart. I used one of the official designs as reference - i had enough trouble with the new paint, i didn't want to ruin my fun completly with concentrating on a big project.

Nightmare..... Such a badass, but I think somewhere in his soul there has to be some good in him. Just think of the what might happen if he had Soul calibur and Siegfred had Soul Edge.

It is a very good work. Better than I could do. Still, it would have been better if you got the sword in the shot as well. I know it is a minor complaint, but the sword is just as much of the character as the armor.

An excellent Nightmare, I really like the medium you settled on, it definitely does Nightmare Justice almost looks like something the game designers would have put into the bonus features for the game, and the style suits Nightmare beautifully.

Nightmare is even more awsome in Soul Calibur 4 XD He actually looks like a onster not an ordinary Knight :3

I think there should be a crossover video game for Soul Calibur and Samurai Showdown (Samurai Spirits), and it should feature all the characters from both series!!!

for a guy with a claw and armor, I found his fighting style very elegant and actually proper. Not demonic and vile, more knightly. I guess his time as Nightmare is where Siegfried got most of his moves. Funny and ironic

I apologize in advance for not being able to provide advanced critique. I'm not very good at detailing things, even simple reasons. What I can say is that this picture is fantastic. This was the first picture that I took notice of when my search loaded, and I have to say I'm impressed.
Why oh why did Namco decide to go back to his stupid 'spike-on-forehead' design? The SCII helmet was so much better...

this armors better than that in SoulCalibur 3, its was ok, but the horn on the forehead looked rediculous....faving this masterpeice

Its very nice. The colors seem very washed out and have sorta a grey tone to them. Which is nice because this is Nightmare we are talkin bout here. Hes not a nice guy and definatly isnt a colorful kinda guy...
Its safe to say that Soul Calibur II nightmare is the coolest outta all the games
