After getting the requests for girls altars, I decided to go back and work on a few altars for boys. One of the areas that I'm often asked about by young men is the realm of romantic magick. So here are a few ideas relating to that. When you are performing a magickal working relating to something that you do not have, the use of items related to the desired thing can be of great assistance in focusing your mind and will. Hence the use of photographs on these altars.

This particular altar has both black and white candles, a statue of Lucifer, a statue of Lilith, a chalice, two red and black candles, an incense burner, an athame, and an altar box.

A red candle is placed on the altar in a position where it is above a photo, which may be of the particular girl of interest or a generic photo of the type of girl you might want to attract. The girl in this photo is just an example of a specific girl. In this case the candle is a red candle with a waxing moon necklace wrapped around it. To many Wiccans this is symbolic of attraction. Not all boys would be interested in the necklace, but the candle could be burned for a short time with the necklace on it, and then blown out and allowed to cool. Then the necklace could be removed and presented as a gift to the girl. The positioning of the candle channels power through the other candles on the altar, through the photograph of the girl, and then to you seated in front of the altar. Drawing the power through the photo of the girl will help to attract her to you.

In some ritual workings the candle can also be placed on top of the photograph, and then the photograph can be stored in the altar box. You need to find what works best for you.
