Just after I posted the male-perspective altars, I was asked by someone on Facebook how a female with darker leanings might configure a similar altar. Men are not the only ones interested in romantic magick. When you are performing a magickal working relating to something that you do not have, the use of items on the altar that are related to the desired thing can be of great assistance in focusing your mind and will. Hence the use of photographs on these altars.

This particular altar has both black and white candles, a statue of Lucifer, a statue of Lilith, a chalice, two red and black candles, a dragon incense burner, an athame, and an altar box.

In this particular working, a red spell candle is burned above a photo that may be representative of the type of man you might want to attract, or of a specific guy you want. Your athame may then be positioned below the photograph, pointing toward yourself, acting symbolically as his penis. The positioning channels power through the other candles on the altar, through the spell candle, through the photo of the guy, through your athame, and then to you seated in front of the altar.

You may even masturbate in front of the altar, to symbolize your desire with him, and to allow that power, strength, and pleasure to strengthen the magickal working.

In some ritual workings the candle can also be placed on top of the photograph, and then the photograph can be stored in the altar box. You need to find what works best for you.
