Straightforward title...At this hour it's hard to figure out something nice and creative, something that sounds like I actually used my brain. Anyway, this is something a little different from what I've been doing lately, and it's kind of a throw back to the drawings I used to do when I was younger. I had a phase of drawing fairies (in addition to a dragon phase, a monster phase, an alien phase, etc.)...and there had been one old drawing of a bird fairy playing a flute. This isn't an exact match, of course. Some features are much different. Still, it was fun to do. And it also gave me an excuse to practice drawing and painting bird wings, and using some very bright colors. I really didn't bother with the background much, because I was focusing more on the details of the character. I considered adding more, but then I just left it as it is, for now.He hasn't been named yet, so if anyone has any suggestions for a name, feel free to shout out in a comment.

I like the calm feel to this piece, but at the same time I can imagine this guy starting up a storm if we were to interrupt him. I like how you matched the hair and the wings, and the dark flute with the limb-tips and eye-markings.

Perhaps his name should be Nonpareil, as in none are paralleled to him in beauty?

What a beautiful combination of colors!! Not very saturated and yet warm, I especially loved the wings and the eyes, emphasizing the gorgeous stare. Amazing job!

^_^ Thank you very much! I had been referencing some various images of different kinds of hummingbirds to look at their colors, and there was one that had bright orange and blue feathers on the underside of its wings. I don't remember what it was called, though.

Well, you did a fine job capturing a natural feeling on the wings, the contrast on the orange-blue looks natural and believable.
Oh don't worry about the name of the species, we all have a common friend called "Google" to search for those pretty birds ^v^
