I'm gona say its real:
A) Houses are geometrically stable, although they lack the natural sun light we've come to expect on most scenery photos.
B) The reflection in the water is not quite as easy as simply taking a camera and aim at the right angle... its even harder to keep the water in place if this was a scaled model (unless its in a museum) If it was in a museum however, it would be very tricky to take this shot since the whole model would be placed in direct spots lights (which again, would be shown in the water reflections). The lighting conveys a natural, cloudy day.
C) The trees and the people pretty much say this is real, they are the hardest things to model correctly, and quite frankly, I don't believe it to be a museum model.

Woot! Hum yeah the focal length really could play both ways... a nice macro, or a wide angle lens set to min zoom. Very nice detail
