Description And we have more arts! This time with everyone. I think this is a lot better overall.

Again, Demon's Lexicon. Sarah Rees Brennan. XD

EDIT: Made Nick's face a lot less soft in appearance.

And your piece with Mae and Nick is fab, by the way.

Hahaha I love how short Mae and Jamie are. I know they actually are in the books, at least compared to Nick and Allen, but I don't really think about it while reading. This really puts it in perspective.

Yeah, they really are quite tiny in comparison to our two six-foot-plus boys. I'm glad you like it. And thanks for the fav and watch! <3

ok, i love mae with the short hair.

all of the pictures on devart seem to have her with short hair though. does it say that in the book she has short hair?

Well, I don't really remember what it said in the book regarding the length of Mae's hair, but I can attest to the accuracy of it at this length because I drilled Sarah on the details of such things when I started drawing it. She was very nice about letting me know the specifics. If I recall, she told me it was pretty much a bob -- curving in a bit on either side of her face, a little below chin length. I'd verify, but since this was on livejournal months ago...

And wow, was that an excessively long response! Anyway, thank you for your kind comments. XD

[link] And her entries are always very entertaining, I've been following her blog for years. XD

Yeah, I've got the brit version myself. I like the cover art a lot better, and it's not as if the british terms for things is particularly confusing for me.

do the americans translate british books into american english then? they don't do that over here american book are still in american...

i ahve come across one or two though that had been translated into english english they were very confusing. it annoyed me that the people said trousers and pavement instead of sidewalk and pants and stuff like that...

i've never seen the american version of the book. i think i'll have a look see if i can find it .

Well, the version I have is english -- I liked the cover art better and it's not like I'd have a problem understanding where the bonnet of a car is and such.

But from what I understand, they kept it pretty limited -- things like color vs colour and terms that americans wouldn't understand the meaning of at all.

And I think the translation thing depends on the publishers, really.

I suspect it's because lips are one of my favorite features, so I've spent some time learning to get them right.

You, I envy for your beautiful lines.
