This was just a quickie because I really wanted to see what these terrains made from Geocontrol looked like!
So I'm NOT happy with the surfaces...they are not as refined as I usually make them. The strata stand out too much and there's a poor transition between the strata and the "sand"...but, meh...I just LOVE the terrains I get from this AWESOME terrain generator!!! Here is a linky to it: [link] I'm thinking I'm going to definitely register this one too. I highly recommend it folks!

That's really cool... Would like to know how you got the colour to run across the canyon like that. It looks like a gradient to me, but I'm not sure.

Oh, you mean the strata? You have to use the Strata Overlay function in SOPack.

Well, I'm not going to give many comments about the world file since it was just a quickie.
The terrain seems nice with lots of detail to it, but it looks very blocky. . .I think a vertical view would look very square and not so natural. The terracing in general looks very nice, but the vertical parts I think are too straight and too constant.
I don't know whether it's the program, but hopefully that stuff can be easily sorted out.
Good luck with your next explorations of this program. It does look great to me so far from what I've seen.
Sadly, I have to just sit and twiddle my thumbs until a mac version comes out. Could be a LOT of twiddling

i think that the atmo doesnt fix very well.. but the terrain and surface are so beautiful and warm!
