She got second place with a cute rendition of a Spirit Dragon, which was what the contest was for. Only two participants.

So sad.

Anyway, second prize was a colored sketch of a character, and I'd originally chosen Kyo - or did I get his name wrong? But, I'd taken SOOOO long that I added in her other character - now his name I REALLY don't remember - as well as my character, Rhaidon. They're all just sort of chillin' together, y'know?

This picture scanned a little better than the other but sometimes coloring with markers is hard. Sometimes they blend really well, but others times, mistakes are painfully obvious and it's often hard to stay right within the lines and so I apologize for anything that might look a tad.... sloppy. I HATE being sloppy in my work, but it's so hard with markers.

Kyo's skin color came out a little too dark. I was experimenting with different skin tones to try to make him appear older, which he is. I can't remember how old the other character is, but I think he's somewhere in the same range as Rhaidon, who in this image is between 17 and 18.

Rhaidon's facial expression is hugely influenced by Edward Elric, but the one thing that ties all THREE of these dudes together is that they were inspired by our favorite anime/manga character; Himura Kenshin. You can sort of see it in all three, but more so in Rhaidon and Kyo.

Anyway, hope you guys can enjoy it. Because this is so simple, it'll eventually go in scraps.
