...you could do a different pic - just a horse that looks vaguely like that one. actually I'm having a bit of trouble with Sunny as well... it might have to end up being in charcoal because I've tried it in acrylic, watercolour and coloured pencil, all with no success.

I didn't have time to comment on this last night, but it looks like you noticed that I did favorite it!
Very well done. I love the amount of light in the sky in particular, almost like the horse is peering into a gateway to a spiritual realm. In fact, it lends the entire piece a spiritual and almost shamanistic magic. I would call this a North American fantasy type of mythological landscape, as opposed to the more traditional European one. I like! I am a huge fan of the American West, too, and I am fairly well versed in the mythology and lore of the land, especially since I live in a town that celebrates it in a huge week long festival every January. So, this pic is very timely, as well; it is just in time for The Elko National Cowboy Poetry Gathering and Roundup. This piece has a tacit poetry of its own. :wink:
I like your choice for the horse. I have always adored pintos. (Note to self, must add more pintos and Paints to my own gallery...) It looks like it could very well be a mustang. Lovely!
