I must say, this looks SO much better in real life. I just couldn't get a good angle to show you that most of the branches are actually '3-D' and they are sticking out of the cake (I used fondant covered wire for that effect). Definitely not the best picture but after trying to get a good one for 20 minutes, I just gave up and used the best of the lot. EnjoyRelated content

Where do you learn how to do all of this? I've always been interested in cake making I just have no clue where to learn.

I went to culinary school at The Art Institute for baking and pastry and I took a cake decorating class there

There is a 2 year course or a 1 year course. I took the 1 year because the only difference between the 1 and 2 year are general education classes. So I thought it would be alot easier and cheaper if I just took all of the gen eds at community college and I could transfer them over for credits

Yeah, I plan on going to Community College to do my gen eds. Do you get good amount of work from cake making. I mean, people will pay a lot for a wedding cake right?

Pretty much, because the cakes are for a special day that will only happen once and the brides want everything to look perfect.

Most of it is edible, but the ribbons aren't and there is wire in some of the fondant branches
