I'm seriously in awe here!! As someone who is a huge fan of that era of art, I feel like you nailed the vibe (even if it leans more baroque, as you said, it's still incredibly accurate for a portrait of the time!). Plus I love the idea of her coming from a prestigeous family and getting her portrait done in such an official fashion. It makes the character and her backstory feel a lot more real in a way, since the portrait looks so professional and fits the aesthetic and history of the games!

thank you so much! ; u ;
honestly the actual brush strokes come through more with out the layer effects and textures but it sets the mood for it better with them :'D
it's hard to paint i'll be honest but it's getting easier and easier and i honestly really enjoy it and figuring out techniques and tricks of my own!
hgf thank you for that too ; u ; she comes from a moderately wealthy family so they're able to do things like the official portraiture, but it's obviously less to do with the wealth and totally centered on their long lineage as assassins; i also recently found out that in the game universe the assassin's brotherhood of italy was originally centered in venice which is where her and her family are from, so it works out even better than i realized that she comes from a long line of venetian assassins

you know what, you're right! that's a very good point, everyone is still figuring their art out, even the old masters were critical of their work c':
