The background of this one from late 2016 is kind of there in the text of the picture: someone I know reblogged the owl pic with the comment that they wanted to see a drawing of Ford with that expression; so that's what I did.

(For the uninitiated: there are various reasons for it, but, almost since his introduction, Ford was nicknamed the Owl in the fandom. It has partly to do with his design in the show, with the big round glasses and the frequently startled expression. And it has partly to do with owls being a design motif running through the show anyway, including scattered around Ford's old home. Short version: "Ford is an owl" is a big GF fandom in-joke.)
