Done for Ron at Kadanzer Weyr ([link] ) as a holiday gift, this is his much-written-about character Ryuri and her brown Ceorth.

(Yes, he's a BROWN, okay? Not a bronze! We allow all of our dragon colors to span the range of shade and tone with the colors, and Ceorth is supposed to be a "klah with lots of cream in it" brown. Which is fine, but I discovered when actually coloring him that I bet he can be mistaken for a bronze. I personally always do bronze dragons with noticeable shades of green and gold and some brown in them; and thus, for a brown dragon, I would never use any greens or golds, which is pretty much the only distinction that makes them not-bronze in color. But I know there are artists out there who prefer to do their Pern bronzes much more in coppery spectrum, without much or any greenish tones. It's to those eyes that I think Ceorth would be most mistakable for a bronze. Anyway, that's why I was glad I was posting him next to a pic of an actual bronze, for comparison.)

And yes, Ryuri is meant to remind you of Starbuck from the new BSG. Well, hopefully she does, anyway.
