Dinobot from Beast Wars.

I've wanted to draw Dinobot for a long time. Beast Wars holds a special place in my heart and Dinobot is my favourite character from the series. It's been too long since I first watched it now to remember for sure, but it's possible that his character is actually what instilled in me a sense of honour.

His design always intimidated me though, so I never felt confident that I could draw him well and just never drew him even though I knew exactly what I wanted to do for a picture of him.

Pixel art is easier for me in some ways than drawing though, so I thought about giving him a shot this way instead and here we are. While this isn't at all the idea I had for if I were going to draw him, it still feels kinda good to at least have done something at all of him. What I wanted to do with a drawing of him was him attacking Megatron with his improvised weapon (from Code of Hero) but that would've been too much for me, even as pixel art. So I just did a basic standing sprite to do SOMETHING for the character.

One of the hardest parts was just finding suitable reference pictures that I could piece a frontal full body out of. I'm bent on accuracy, so I wanted everything as accurate as I could get it. The upper body wasn't too hard to find stuff for, but I struggled some with the legs and had to guess a bit with some details and angles. On top of that, I'm bad at legs anyway and so that part was pretty tough for me.

I also somehow forgot how weird Dinobot's hands are...
Aside from those points though, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

After finding all the reference pictures and working with them enough to do this, I feel like I would have a better chance of doing a decent drawing of him now but unfortunately I don't really have time to draw anymore anyway.
