I dont think she would sink but it would make passengers feel better if it had alot of lifeboats!

Great work but we better make sure Clive Palmer steps foot aboard this ship or it'll sink like a rock.

9 years ago I predicted that a new Titanic would come.

Same but it will be really ironic if it does.

Eh. It depends acctualy. I mean, when the original titanic sank it was very ironic if you know what I mean.

Very much so. She was called "invincible", and "unsinkable" The popular press of the day even stated publicly that God himself could not sink this ship. (Not just a quote from the 1997 film). The attitudes of the people that humanity can via its technological prowess, conquer nature itself; obviously nature didn't take kindly to this arrogance at all. I very much believe that Titanic was an instrument chosen by fate to show mankind that he is not as great as he thinks.

I agree. Also because it relates to this book where a ship sinks which is called titan and it was recalled unsinkable as well.

Ahhh the fabled novel that seem to foretell the events nearly 20 years hence from the book's initial publication. Id LOVE to read it myself. And perhaps draw a profile of an interpretation of what the steamer looked like in the novel. The great Ken Marshall (one of my top 5 favorite artists), painted a piece that I believe became cover art for a republished version of the book.

Thats because they wanted to upgrade her with a modern propulsion system akin to modern liners.

Hence the "near" part, as in not an exact, dead on copy. Besides the top half of the stern that sits above the water line is very close to what was designed and built in Belfast over a century ago.

I could point out all the other things that are wrong with this deign and defy being a true replica: azimuth propeller pods, bow thrusters, helipad on the stern with no docking bridge, no boilers or reciprocating steam engines, radar, etc.Β

Okay first as horrible as that joke was it had me rolling on the floor with laughter. Second according to what Ive observed and read of the plans, she is hardly berg proof but it will considerably harder to send this one to the bottom given her modern safety applications in accordance with maritime law.
