Marcio’s body has features that mimic some of those that belong to the Portuguese Man-O-War as it is equipped with muscular unbreakable tentacles attached under the arms and around his back. These appendages are strong enough to lift and support the weight of his entire body. They can be stretched individually or en masse to about half the length of a football field. Each tentacle is composed of powerful contractile cells that allow them to be retracted rapidly or enables them to constrict and crack solid iron. These same tentacles possess barbed gripper micro-nodules that allow them to adhere to any surface so they could be used to scale structures and adhere to unusual surfaces. The tentacles are able to deliver intense electric shocks, glow with their own light, deliver antigravity pulses and, of course, a stinging venom capable of paralyzing muscles. Marcio is capable of breathing underwater or in open air and is able to use a pulse teleportation wave to move underwater at speeds that equate to Mach 1. He does not have this ability above water. Unaided, Marcio can propel himself through the water at a top speed of about 150 mph. He can use his antigravity pulses to attain flight of about 150 mph as well but generally chooses to latch onto something faster or travel within a craft. Mario has regenerative powers but only for his tentacles, which he can allow to break off and detach at will. It takes Mario about 60 seconds to regenerate one full 50-yard tentacle. Beyond that, as a result of being able to withstand huge undersea pressures, Marcio has superhuman strength and resistance to injury and to extremes of cold and heat. Marcio is at his most powerful in the water and does lose about 10% of his power every day he is out of water. At some point his physique would degrade to that of a normal Olympic level human but would level off there. What appears to be a cape is actually part of Marcio's physiognomy.
