Meet SENTRION, the only human ever recruited by the Joint Univeral Sentrion Trust (the J.U.S.T.), a galactic law enforcement partnership operating for countless millenia. That recruitment took place in 1883 when SENTRION was known as San Franciscan Darius Marshall, a young but hardened, formidable sheriff whose family was murdered by outlaws. Fed up with the killing, the lawlessness and seeking a higher purpose in life, he happened to save the life of two wounded alien Sentrion officers dispatched to Earth to suppress the eruption of Krakatoa which would have otherwise destroyed the planet. Though they succeeded in lessening the eruption's destructive planet-killing force, they were both severely wounded and found by western lynch mobs. Darius saved both of their lives and was offered a spot on the force. He has been off-planet since his recruitment only to now be assigned to sector Bius-Tahr-917, which includes his home planet, Earth.

Sentrion officers volunteer to be implanted with an advanced Power-PAC (plasmaphasing adaptor coil) that auto-fuses in a neurograft throughout their physiognomy. Once received, it creates a protective Sentrion uniform adapted to the users anatomical parameters and becomes part of the wearer for life. The Power-PAC gives the wearer the ability to psionically pull in and amplify ambient galactic plasma (star matter) into user-controlled energies and constructs. Sentrions are extremely powerful and life spans become that of the PAC device, but the implant has a user-life of only 200 to 250 years, at which point it self-destroys, taking the user with it.
