Description watercolour (although the scanner chewed up my background terribly!)

About my fifth attempt to do a 'hedgehog dreams' piece that I'm happy with! Will leave it with this one now (although wouldn't mind going back to it sometime).

This one is 24cm x 24cm, the last one was 14.5cm x 14.5cm

I'm thinking either bear dreams or crow dreams next...

Thanks! I wanted to try to make all of this series have something like that, but it wasn't as easy with fur!

I'm not sure which one I like more, they are both pretty. Although this one has more hedgehogs which is always a plus

Definitely - you can't go wrong by adding hedgehogs to anything

It's great to see the three different versions. It gives us watchers insight in your thought and brainstorming process. Why does this one in particular appeal to you the most? I'm always very fond of the purple yellow combination. Lovely work, thanks for sharing

Thanks! I always like getting insight into others' thought processes, glad that you were able to see mine a bit with this I guess this one appeals to me more because I put more detail into it - the folds in her pajamas, the cushions, etc, and (even though it doesn't show up so well in this scan) I like th way the lighting worked out in this one a bit better - it was too vague and amorphous in the last one. My latest one, bear dreams, I think has another improvement on the lighting, because the bear and the girl's face seem to actually be lit by it. Then again, it is way easier to do that with a red theme than a blue one I find

Even better colour than previously (and even despite what you've mentioned about the scanner). Quite pretty washes, I love especially how it went out on her hair and the purple-yellowish pillow behind the lamp.

Thanks! It was kind of intimidating to do the washes for a much larger piece, but in the end it was definitely easier and more fulfilling. Every time I do a larger picture I think this - I think it's time to take your advice from ages ago and move onto bigger pieces of paper for good! That yellow-purplish pillow is my favourite
