Description
The Death Head's Hawkmoth gets its name from the markings on the thorax that resemble a human skull. They are also unusual in the moth world in their ability to give off a high-pitched mechanical squeaking noise when startled. These traits have given them the reputation as an omen of death. You might also recognize them from the movie "Silence of the Lambs".

Real moths are loads of fun, but plushie moths have many advantages. You don't have to feed them, you can take them for walks without them flying off, they don't die and break your heart (unless you let the dog near them), and you can cuddle them without winding up covered in bug guts.
