Description In reaction to the people who go to big televised gatherings (sporting events, etc.) and hold up signs that say John 3:16, I've always wanted Colbert Nation members to go and hold up Acts 6:8 signs.

The verse (King James Version): "And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people."

Wow. This is awesome. I wonder if he'd get what we were doing if a bunch of us went with Acts 6:8 signs. . .
This stamp should be blown up, framed and put on his set!

The stamp itself would not blow up very well, but yeah, he should totally have a sign of some sort.

Bring signs into the audience, and tell him what they mean! =3

...er, I don't know what there is to explain beyond what's in the description...

Uh... Okay? Why would you make them hold up a sign with that on then?

Because in the U.S. (and possibly other countries, but I know it's very prevalent here) there are a lot of people who go to events where they might be televised (i.e., sitting in the stands of ball games) and hold up signs that say "John 3:16". (It's a classic verse, basically a one-sentence summary of Christianity.)

So this would be a parody of those people. Instead of drawing viewers' attention to a verse about Jesus, Colbert Nation members would draw it to a verse about "Stephen".

Ah, now I got it
Weird custom in my opinion. I don`t think I`ve heard of it being done anywhere else but in America. Now that I think about it, I might have seen signs like that now and then on the tellie.
Nice parody, as long as you understand it

This is BRILLIANT. I had to look it up because I'm not exactly familiar with the Bible, but it's perfect. AWESOME.
