yes. it was assigned. in this class we are trying different methods of art, such as acrylics, color pencils, gouache and many others. the teacher started assigning the ballpoint pen method simply because he saw "Francisco Casas" art in some presentation. you can google his name, his ballpoint pen is insane!! so he thought it would be cool to use a ballpoint pen as an art material, like a pencil or a brush. since then he started giving the "ballpoint pen" as an assignment.
