A lot as happened to me lately but fortunately I was able to do a personal work during the holidays which I just finally finished tonight. I had ambitious attempts on this piece and so I wanted it to be better than my previous works. I really like medieval warfare like that of Lord of the Rings movie and I really wanted to paint something like that but I never had the confidence before. Although this theme has been used a lot, still it was a great accomplishment for me to finally have my take on it.Thanks for the critiques! Here's an updated version also in higher res.

hmm thanks for the info , just something does it help do use photos and start copying them in photoshop with using brush i have not much a clue how to start drawing so i dont know how to begin lol

comment ko lang sa lighting ng castles sa tingin ko pede mo pa gawing mas magradient/blended ung highlights sa mga roof para di magmukhang flat.. un lang naman.. grabe laking improvement na nito especially sa lighting

Nice work. But maybe more destruction like from the catapults and big rocks destroying the walls and the castle. or maybe a hole on the wall of the castle and there's an epic battle eye candy going on there like when people where fighting to defend the hole of the kingdom of heaven. The dragon needs to look more ferocious... more spikes, evilness, teeth, and drool... maybe some giants and trolls in the battlefield wreaking major havoc... but overall it is a nice piece. Maybe I can get to this level of painting. Very inspiring. Thank you for posting. I hope to see more.
