You know, your work would make good prints in the literal sense. You know, you etch out the design on wood or something similar and then press it to ink, etc etc etc. That's what I was thinking when I looked at the bottom of the piece with the hatching fade out.
My favorite parts are the contrasts of course and the hands. Reminds me of that Cactus head piece. I also like how you left out the shading in the hands so that we could see the features a bit more. Very nice. When I look at the face I think of a sandworm from Dune or a leech or something like that.
I like this drawing, look forward to seeing more.

Thanks a lot! I've had some experience with printmaking, especially with intaglio prints. It was a really backwards way of thinking for me, though - - I take away parts I want to be without ink, rather than putting ink down on places I want it. I might try some stuff like that at some point in the future, though.

I'm liking the hands, it looks familiar, like i've seen it is some old Asian or Eastern European artwork.... anyway, looks real good.

Thanks much. I like the hands too, and I think you're thinking of the same thing I was when I did the hands--I recall seeing hands like that somewhere, but I can't remember what they were from, but I really wanted to draw thems.

Pretty freaking cool, as ever. I like the starkness in contrast at the top, and also having your name on your belt buckle. I wish I could find one of those.

thanks muchly. my real belt buckle reads ETID rather than my initials ERS. I thought it would be a good way to imcorporate my signature into the composition (i always sign with my initials).
