My God, the 3D section of DeviantArt has gone to the dogs.
If this is what's the most popular after a week. Why do I even bother?

Don't lecture me about art, especially with juvenile, rehashed arguments.
This (like most other poser art that now dominates) consists of female forms, props, clothing that you didn't painstakingly model, a pose and a cheap environment that you downloaded from some equally cheap site.
This isn't art. This is you clicking buttons until you eventually settle on a composition that shows neither skill, patience or aesthetic refinement.

Oh well, the old "Poser isn't art" argument....You say it isn't art, your opinion. However there are other opinions out there. It's like working with collages or photo manipulations...using existing props and compose to something new. Photography and Movies are doing that, no art either? That it doesn't show skill, patience or aesthetic refinement is your personal opinion and I just wonder why an artist feels to look down on and degrade another one's art or art form.
It may not be art in your world, but it's the media of my choice and many viewers do like it...good with that?

Users like tits and arse. Your audience consists of pervy guys.
My quarrel with your work is quite simple. It bogs down the 3D section
and makes it so that other artists, with actual talent, rarely get seen.
Here's an example. www.deviantart.com/art/The-Mor…
Not a particularly great work. But a young artist looking for positive feedback.
It's at least a detailed work that took thought vs your 10 click Poser pieces.
And yet it is drastically under valued when compared to your silly attempt at creativity.

I think my audience consists of people ( many of them are actual female) who like an aesthetic fantasy image or well executed 3 D poser art. The pervy guys you are talking about will find tons of other images around here rather than mine. I agree there are many of them and I also agree that Poser and similar programs will give you a set of tools that make it easy for a lot of people to get reasonable results in little time.
However, the amount of time you spend with programming or designing is no indicator for the quality of your work. You state I have no talent, you have absolutely no idea how much work goes into one of my images...from the right posing, camera angles, lighting, dialing, texturing etc. It's definitely not a 10 click job. Your statements show me you didn't even take the time to compare my art to what you call "silly attempts to make tits and arse look creative". You just bash it because its done in Poser.
Let me quote a fellow artist and designer JHoagland at this point:
"The most logical reason for the Poser-bashing is probably the simplest: professional jealousy. Some elitists may have spent years to build up their talent to the point where they can make a human figure from scratch. But, along comes John Poser-User who can place a pre-made human into a scene, pose it all kinds of different ways, and make an image in a few minutes.
Where’s the years of study? Where’s the “mastery” of building models?
This is also similar to the idea of using computers: when the Macintosh computer first came out, it was looked upon as childish, especially by the “pros” who had mastered DOS commands. To them, Mac users were almost dummies for not spending years learning arcane, text-based commands.
The idea continued into the Internet years: America Online (AOL) users were commonly looked down upon because they simply installed AOL, ran the software, and connected to AOL. There was no fiddling around with programs like “WinSock” or needing to configure a “TCP/ IP” Control Panel.
Where were the years of study of network protocols? Where’s the mastery of using computers?
The main point is that all of these programs are tools used to get the job done. Does it really matter if you use 3D Studio Max or Maya or Lightwave or Poser as long as you can get your project done?"
And a good tip for your under valued example artist: Try to spend a bit time in advertising your works...build up friends, watchers, submit it to groups...don't just upload it and expect the DeviantArt community to go nuts over your greatness of creativity.
